We are a rafting company, based in Murchison. We offer a wide range of river trips, from single day family rafting to multi day wilderness expeditions. UDNZ & Makingtrax have been working together for several years and have developed systems to make rafting available to all abilities. Making this possible we have our river harness, fully releasable system, making you sit up on the raft (even without trunk control), leg floats if you feel like floating through the pools, dry suits for those that do not have climate control (only hands & head are exposed). For our multi day trips we can provide accessible tents, pressure relieving camping mattresses and accessible bathroom facilities. You can book directly through UDNZ or Makingtrax. When making a booking it's important to book in advance and make your abilities known in the booking.

Skydiving Kiwis

If needed we have a skydiving harness that makes landing a breeze, designed by Makingtrax and Skydiving Kiwis. In free fall your legs are harnessed together, once the parachute opens your knees are pulled to your chest giving your time to enjoy your flight back to earth. When landing you slide in on your extremely experienced Tandem Masters butt, you hardly touch the ground.

Waka Abel Tasman

Inclusive cutural experience along the beautiful Abel Tasman coastline. Waka (Māori canoe) are the living expression of our tūpuna (ancestors) who sailed the Pacific Ocean for thousands of years. This amazing experience is perfect for all abilities to enjoy this spectacular area. You begin and end all trips with a blessing (karakia) for protection. Learn the etiquette (tikanga) associated with waka before becoming familiar with the boat and embarking on our journey (haerenga ).
This Waka is accessible to all abilities!! A Special harness supplied by Makingtrax supports your body & keeps you comfortable (padded for pressure). The crew have been trained up by Makingtrax consultant Jezza and nothing is a problem, a highly recommended activity in the Abel Tasman, Kaiteriteri area. Book directly through Waka Abel Tasman.

Skyline Gondola & Luge

Skyline Queenstown offers a tranquil gondola ride & thrilling luge tracks. With unsurpassed scenic views, Skyline also offers cultural experiences, amazing dining, stargazing & more.
Accessibility up the gondola is possible if you can transfer independently or with help from your carer, your wheelchair fits in the gondola (colapsable & light). Under certain conditions it is possible to get a power-chair up if weighs less than 60kg. If you can board the gondola, you can also enjoy the luge, providing you have use of upper body and can sit up unassisted. There are restrictions due to client weight and ability, therefore we book you in on an individual basis. Book through Makingtrax as they consult with Skyline management and team to assist.
Note; Over the next few years Skyline Queenstown is undergoing a transformation and at times construction may interfere with accessibility.

Skydive Auckland

Skydive Auckland offer the highest tandem skydive in New Zealand’s North Island, at 20,000ft. The Helicopter Line

Shotover Canyon Swing & Canyon Fox

We are the crazy (but friendly) people in New Zealand who encourage you to jump off a cliff and swing into a canyon just for fun! At the home of the world's highest cliff jumps, our already famous 109m high Canyon Swing and our not yet famous 182m high Canyon Fox are just the ticket to get your heart pumping and put smiles on your faces!
The crew at the Canyon Swing are pros at taking all abilities & have been working with Makingtrax since ages ago.

Shuttle service provided if you don't mind being helped into the Van or other wise we can make arrangements for you to follow. Once at the carpark there is a gravel path approx 400meters that you may need assistance if in a wheelchair. At the Swing headquarters a number of steps to access your swing. Abel Tasman Sea Shuttles

We are a family business that provides Water Taxi and day tour services into the Abel Tasman National Park. All fun and no hard work....enjoy discovering the majestic Abel Tasman National Park via sea shuttle.
Our vessels have ramp access and the crew are at your service to assist. The Crusader ramp is 600mm wide, we can get some wheelchairs up on the deck, or just detach the wheels and get assisted up the ramp, reattach wheels on deck. Abel Tasman EcoTours

We are a small family owned ecotourism business in the Abel Tasman. Your skipper 'Opens your eyes' to the ecosystem around you. Expect to see all manner of marine life, visit islands, inlets and forests as well as the open sea. Birds, seals, penguins and dolphins are all possibilities. Hear about the important work we are doing to help protect this beautiful place.
Accessibility: Stew and the team go beyond awesome to make this trip work for you. Although there is no ramp access, if you don't mind being helped aboard, the crew will make it work. Making space for your wheelchair to ride in comfort a seat is taken out, so please book in advance. Manual chair and weight restrictions apply. Contact Eco tours directly or book through Makingtrax. Note there are no toilets on the vessel but you are given privacy at a number of stages through the trip, just let the understanding crew be aware of your needs.

Cable Bay Adventure Park

Adventure Park just north of Nelson is an immense area of action and beauty. Home of the Skywire, quad bikes, horse treks, paintball, Argo, MTB and E-Bikes + licensed cafe on site.
We are proud to offer Inclusive tailored trips to any ability, with the kiwi attitude of if it's possible we will make it work. We have ultimate staff to assist with transfers and offer some pretty unbelievable experiences.
The Skywire is available to all abilities; our other activities including quad bikes, horse treks, archery and argo trips...if possible we will make it work. We have an adaptive harness that helps support clients with back issues or limited trunk support.
The future will bring development of our mountain bike park, where we are going to move forward with Makingtrax and offer adaptive experiences. For more info see our website.

Mt Cook Ski Planes & Helicopters
