MakingTrax owns two Bowhead Rouge e-assist mountainbikes, fully intergrated into local cycle hire and tour business, - making it easy for everyone to ride together.
In Nelson, one bike is managed by the amazing Gentle Cycling Company with access to the Great Taste Trail and surounding local networks. The other is based in Arrowtown managed by the awesome Better By Bike crew right in the heart of the Queenstown Trail network
This coming season 2026 / 27 we have two new bikes arriving. Hoping to inergrate into the original and most famous Rail Trail and West Coast Wliderness Trail
Requirements
Although the e-assist is very strong you will need to have hand and arm strength to safely steer, break and change the bike gearing.
