Tongariro River Rafting
We operate Whitewater rafting on the Tongariro River at the southern end of Lake Taupo. The Tongariro River has something for everyone, with exciting class III whitewater and more continuous rapids than any other stretch of river rafted in New Zealand. We also provide fishing tours and family river adventures.
Inclusive Information:
Rafting is a very inclusive sport, we are all sitting and have a whole team to assist with transfers. We provide a Makingtrax whitewater harness. This provides support to clients that have limited function or rely upon a wheelchair for mobility. With a number of experiences to suit most abilities and a very experienced team, Tongariro River Rafting is one of the top spots to enjoy a river experience.
Transport:
The rafting centre is based in Turangi, from here we provide a shuttle vehicle.
