Bespoke Adventures
Adventures created for you.
These experiences exist because Makingtrax made them possible. Specialist adaptive equipment, trusted operator partnerships, and real expertise — turning adventures people assumed were out of reach into genuine, epic Kiwi experiences.
Before you enquire
The more we know, the better we can plan.
Every experience we coordinate is personalised — matched to your abilities, your desires, and your situation. To give you the best advice and find the right fit, it helps to know as much as possible upfront. When you get in touch, please share:
Your ability and mobility
Tell us about your disability or condition, your level of mobility, and any physical considerations we should know — upper body strength, core stability, seating requirements, transfers.
Your travel companions
Are you travelling solo, with family, or a group? Do you have a carer or support person joining you? Knowing who's with you helps us plan the experience around your whole party.
Any travelling assistance
Do you use a wheelchair, walking aids, or other equipment? Are there any medical devices or considerations we should be aware of — temperature regulation, skin integrity, or medical requirements?
Your expected dates
When are you planning to visit Aotearoa? A rough timeframe — even just the month or season — helps us check operator availability and plan the right experience for the right conditions.
Get in touch — WhatsApp preferred
WhatsApp is the easiest way to start the conversation and share details as you go. We're also happy to connect via email or the website.
Purpose-built equipment
Every experience uses adaptive equipment designed, built, or specified by Makingtrax — from rafting harnesses to glacier buggies to paragliding flight chairs.
Trusted operator partners
We work alongside Aotearoa's best adventure operators — people who know their environments and are committed to safe, inclusive experiences.
Matched to you
We take the time to understand your abilities and desires before recommending any experience. If it's possible, we'll make it work — safely and without compromise.
True Kiwi style
No soft options. These are real adventures in real environments — glaciers, rivers, mountains, fiords — in true Kiwi style.
