How it works
We work alongside adventure tourism businesses in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Through operator partnership we develop their product to be as accommodating as possible, each in its specific way and often ongoing.
We're an adaptive advisor for the industry - when it comes to travellers, we assist them understand what suits their abilities and desires; and how best to book their activities. We work with both the operator and the traveller to make sure everything works smoothly and safely.
The operators we partner with have been adapted through our advisory service; if they require adaptive equipment then MakingTrax designs, develops or purchases them. Harnesses, bikes, buggies and ski-chairs are managed by the operators we partner with, although most are owned by MakingTrax.
Travelers can enquire straight through our website, but we like to be a personalised service and find WhatsApp chats and liaising throughout the process when required brings significant trust, from start to finish.
We don't organise accommodation or transport, although don't mind pointing you in the right direction or offering tips. We are straight up adventure,
If our customers are happy with our service, they provide a donation or in Aotearoa we have Koha - A gift, donation, or contribution that helps build relationships, where people often give back in return. This is provided at the end of your Kiwi Adventure.
All customers pay and participate at the experience, we take no payments for activities.
